Lottery Selection System in KVS Admission 2025-26

The selection procedure for all categories, including the RTE quota, will utilize a ‘Draw of Lots’ system. This lottery event will be uniformly implemented across all Kendriya Vidyalaya schools for the selection of candidates in various classes, particularly for Balvatika 1 & 3 and Class 1. The KVS headquarters has issued guidelines to all Principals of KV schools on how to conduct the ‘Draw of Lots’ annually. The entire event will be broadcast live on YouTube, ensuring complete transparency for parents who wish to view it on their mobile devices.

Composition of Committee for Conducting Offline Lottery Draw Event in All Kendriya Vidyalayas: Each Kendriya Vidyalaya shall establish a committee tasked with overseeing the Draw of Lots for admission into Class 1. This committee will consist of the following five members:

  1. Principal (Convener)
  2. Teacher Representative
  3. Female Parent of an Applicant
  4. Parent of an Applicant under the RTE Act
  5. Member of the VMC

Fee Structure for RTE Students in KVS 2025-26

Students selected under the RTE category will not be required to pay any fees, including tuition, computer, or VVN fees. Education will be provided free of charge for all candidates chosen under the RTE quota. This initiative is funded by the central government and implemented across all states. Additionally, students in the RTE category will receive financial assistance for expenses related to uniforms and books, with the requirement to submit original receipts for reimbursement of all educational costs.
