Uttar Pradesh Home Guard Vacancy 2025: The Home Guards Organization was founded by the Government of India on December 6, 1962, with the aim of providing dedicated service to uphold peace and internal security within society. It operates under the “Uttar Pradesh Home Guards Act of 1963.” Since its establishment, the organization has recruited hundreds of thousands of men and women from diverse backgrounds, equipping them to effectively address any challenging security situations in the country. Currently, the Uttar Pradesh Home Guards Organization comprises a total of 1,151 companies, which include 785 rural and 366 urban units, supported by an authorized strength of 118,348 Home Guards volunteers, among which are 25 women companies and 60 independent women platoons.
Members of the Home Guards Department collaborate closely with the government, district administration, and police forces, making significant contributions to the maintenance of peace and order. Qualification & Age Limit for UP Home Guard 2025

Selection Process for UP Home Guard Vacancy 2025
UP Police Constable, Sub-Inspector, and Jail Warden Recruitment 2025. The Uttar Pradesh Police Recruitment and Promotion Board is preparing for a significant recruitment drive. In late April 2025, it is expected that announcements will be made regarding approximately 28,000 vacancies within the UP Police Department.
This includes 4,543 positions for Police Inspectors, 19,220 for Constables, and 2,833 for Jail Wardens. Detailed information about the recruitment process will be shared following the publication of the official advertisement. Eligible candidates will have the opportunity to apply through the official recruitment portal once the notifications are released. For the Constable roles, applicants must have completed at least the 12th grade and meet the designated age requirements.
Similar to the Home Guard recruitment, the selection process will involve a written examination, physical efficiency tests, and document verification. In addition to Constables, the UP Police will also be hiring Sub-Inspectors (SIs) for various positions. Candidates seeking SI roles must possess a minimum of a graduate degree, and the selection process will be rigorous, including written tests, physical assessments, and interviews.
Furthermore, recruitment for the Uttar Pradesh Prison Department will soon begin, with positions available for Jail Wardens.
