6th CPC Fitment Table Download : The 6th Central Pay Commission (CPC) pay scale is a reference tool employed by the Government of India to adjust and set the salaries of central government employees as they transition from the 5th Pay Group to the 6th Pay Group.
This scale provides a methodical means to ascertain the new basic pay by applying a pay factor of 1.86 to the existing basic pay. Essentially, the former basic pay is multiplied by 1.86, and this amount is subsequently rounded to the closest figure in the new pay group and grade pay structure.
The scale aids in ensuring equitable and transparent salary revisions across different departments and roles. Consequently, those eligible among government employees who wish to explore the 6th CPC table can thoroughly examine the chart, which is extremely useful for their salary fitment.

Implementation of the recommendations from the Sixth Central Pay Commission regarding the Fixation of Pay Fitment Table for all Grade Pay.
The undersigned has been instructed to refer to the Central Civil Services (Revised Pay) Rules, 2008, which were notified under G.S.R. No.622(E) on 29th August, 2008. It is stated that according to Rule 6 of these Rules, government employees must exercise their option to receive their pay in the revised pay structure using the format specified in the Second Schedule of the Rules.
The procedure for the initial fixation of pay within the revised pay structure is outlined in Rule 7 of the CCS (RP) Rules, 2008. Based on this Rule, comprehensive Fixation Tables for each stage in the pre-revised scales have been developed as recommended by the Sixth Pay Commission and are included as Annex-I of this Office Memorandum. These tables may be utilized for the fixation of pay in the revised structure effective from 1.1.2006.
The tables provided in Annex-I will apply in situations where the Government has approved normal replacement pay scales. In instances of post upgradation and the merging of pre-revised pay scales, the fixation of pay will be conducted as specified in Note 2A and 2B below Rule 7(1) and as illustrated in Illustration 4A & 4B of the Explanatory Memorandum to the CCS (RP) Rules, 2008.
According to the CCS (RP) Rules, 2008, there will be a standardized date for increments, specifically 1st July of the year following the implementation of the revised pay structure.
As a result, for employees whose next increment date is 1.1.2006, the increment will be received in the pre-revised scale, and pay will be fixed according to the tables after this increment is included. The subsequent increment in the revised pay structure for these cases will be received on 1st July, 2006.
