Delhi Home Guard Vacancy 2025: Applications are currently being accepted online for the recruitment of 10,285 Home Guard volunteers for a term of three years, which may be extended for an additional two years. There will be reservations of 15% for Scheduled Castes, 7.5% for Scheduled Tribes, and 27% for Other Backward Classes. Moreover, one-third (33.33%) of the positions in each category are reserved for women (horizontal reservation).
Additionally, 10% of the vacancies are designated for Ex-Servicemen; if these positions remain unfilled, they will be made available to Ex-CAPF personnel, and if still unfilled, to candidates from the general category. It is important to note that the number of vacancies is provisional and may be modified according to actual needs at the time of final enrollment.
An ‘ex-serviceman’ is characterized as a person who has served in any role, whether in combat or non-combat, within the Regular Army, Navy, or Air Force of the Indian Union, and fulfills at least one of the following conditions:
- Retired from service with a pension.
- Released from service on medical grounds related to military duties or due to uncontrollable circumstances, and has been granted a medical or other disability pension.
- Released, retired, or discharged at their own request after receiving a pension or due to a reduction in personnel.
- Released from service after fulfilling the required period of engagement, not at their own request or due to dismissal or discharge for misconduct or inefficiency, and has received a gratuity.
This definition also encompasses members of the Territorial Army who meet any of the following criteria:
(i) Holders of pensions for continuous embodied service,
(ii) Individuals with disabilities linked to military service,
(iii) Recipients of awards for gallantry.
‘Ex-CAPF personnel’ denotes individuals who have served in any of the Central Para Military Forces of the Government of India and satisfy any of the four criteria specified for Ex-Servicemen.

How to Apply for Delhi Home Guard 2025
Candidates are encouraged to submit their applications through the enrolment portal of the Directorate General Home Guards, Delhi, which can be found at http://dghgenrollment.in. This portal is also accessible via the official website of the Directorate General Home Guards at https://delhihomeguards.nic.in.
a) Before proceeding with online applications, candidates are required to verify their registration on the Directorate General Home Guards (DGHG) enrolment portal at http://dghgenrollment.in, which is also available through the DGHG website at https://delhihomeguards.nic.in.
b) Detailed registration guidelines can be found on the DGHG website. This registration process is conducted only once. Candidates should utilize the user ID and password generated during registration for logging in whenever they apply for enrolment opportunities announced by DGHG. Any candidate who registers multiple times or takes the examination more than once at any stage will have their application disqualified and will be prohibited from enrolling as a Home Guard volunteer.
c) Qualified candidates are invited to submit their applications via the enrollment portal at http://dghgenrollment.in, starting from January 24, 2025, until February 13, 2025, at 12:00 midnight. After this deadline, the application link will no longer be accessible.
d) It is recommended that candidates thoroughly examine the INSTRUCTIONS FOR APPLYING ONLINE while filling out the Online Application Form for enrollment.
e) Applications must be submitted solely through the Online Mode. Any applications sent through alternative methods, such as postal mail, in-person delivery, or email, will be deemed invalid and automatically rejected. No inquiries regarding this policy will be addressed.
f) Candidates are advised to thoroughly check that all information in each section of the online application form is correct before submission. Once the application is submitted, no alterations, corrections, or modifications will be accepted under any circumstances.
g) Requests for changes submitted through any means, including but not limited to mail, fax, email, or in person, will not be entertained, and no further communication will be issued regarding this issue. Candidates are responsible for any inaccuracies in their application data and the associated fees.
Application and Fees Payment Method 2025
₹ 100/- (One Hundred only). Candidates applying online are required to pay the necessary fee, along with any applicable convenience fee, solely through the payment gateway provided on the DGHG enrollment portal. Other payment methods will not be accepted, and applications from such candidates will be rejected immediately, with any fees paid being forfeited. It is important to note that the application fee is non-refundable under any circumstances.
Eligibility Criteria for Delhi Home Guard Vacancy 2025
The applicant must be an Indian citizen and a resident of the National Capital Territory of Delhi. To confirm residency in Delhi, the candidate is required to present one of the following documents:
i) A valid passport
ii) A photo identity card issued by the Election Commission
iii) A current and valid ration card that features the candidate’s name and photograph. If the ration card lacks a photograph, it must be accompanied by an alternative form of identification that includes a photo of the applicant.
iv) A valid driving license issued by the Transport Department of the Government of the National Capital Territory of Delhi.
v) An attested passbook from a public sector bank account that includes a photograph and the residential address in Delhi.
vi) A certificate issued by a competent or authorized government authority from the Revenue Department of the Government of the National Capital Territory of Delhi.
b) Age Criteria: Applicants must be aged between 20 and 45 years (born no earlier than January 2, 1979, and no later than January 1, 2004). For Ex-Servicemen and Ex-CAPF personnel, the upper age limit is extended to 54 years.
c) Educational Requirements: Candidates are required to have completed at least the 12th grade (Senior Secondary). For Ex-Servicemen and Ex-CAPF personnel, a minimum educational qualification of 10th grade is necessary.
d) Height Specifications: Male candidates must have a minimum height of 165 cm, while female candidates must be at least 152 cm tall. Applicants are required to provide the necessary certificates and documents that confirm their residency in the Union Territory of Delhi, educational qualifications, age, reservation status, and any applicable bonus marks. These documents must be presented during the verification process following the written examination and should have been issued prior to the publication date of the enrollment advertisement.
Only those candidates who successfully pass the Physical Measurement and Efficiency Test (PMET), which consists of a 1,600-meter run and height assessment, will qualify to take the written examination. Selection will be determined based on merit, with additional marks awarded to the written test scores where applicable.
Candidates who are selected must undergo a medical examination and submit a Police Clearance Certificate, which can be obtained from the Delhi Police website. Delhi Home Guard Vacancy Enrollment Method 2025
Enrollment will take place in two (2) stages, determined by the performance of eligible applicants:
A) STAGE-I: The Physical Measurement and Efficiency Test (PMET), which serves as a qualifying assessment.
1. Physical Measurement – Minimum Height Standards:
i) 165 cm for male candidates
ii) 152 cm for female candidates
2. Physical Efficiency Test – Race: Candidates are required to fulfill the race qualification standards according to their age as of January 1, 2024, as specified below.

Application Fees for Delhi Home Guard Vacancy 2025
To apply online, candidates must pay a fee of ₹100/- each, along with a convenience charge, through the specified online payment gateway for application submissions. It is important to note that the application fee is non-refundable under any circumstances after payment has been made.
Delhi Home Guard Vacancy – Written Test 2025
Document and Verification of Bonus Marks:
B.1 WRITTEN TEST for candidates who have successfully passed the PMET
a) The written examination will consist of 80 multiple-choice questions, each carrying 1 mark, for a total of 80 marks, and will be conducted over a period of 90 minutes. The content of the question paper will align with the matriculation level (10th grade) and will include the following subjects:
- Mathematics
- General Science
- General Intelligence and Reasoning
- History, Culture, and Geography of Delhi
- Constitution of India
- Ancient Indian History and Culture
- Geography and General Knowledge
- Current Affairs
b) The question paper will be provided in both Hindi and English.
c) Ex-Servicemen or Ex-CAMF personnel will not be required to take the written test if their numbers represent less than 10% of the total vacancies following the PMET.
Bonus marks for Delhi Home Guard Vacancy 2025
Candidates will receive bonus marks based on the valid claims presented in their applications. These claims will undergo verification during the document review phase, and any candidate who submits inaccurate information will have their application disqualified. A maximum of 16 bonus marks can be awarded based on the following criteria:

Candidates are required to hold either a certificate from the Part-Time Instructor Course or a minimum of two Advanced Civil Defence courses from CTI Delhi, or one course from NCDC Nagpur/CTI Bangalore to qualify for 3 marks.
Please note that only candidates who have successfully completed the PMET will be permitted to participate in the Written Test. Additionally, only those candidates who appear on the Merit List, determined by the Written Test and Bonus Marks, will be called for the verification of their Bonus Marks documents and other necessary paperwork.
Document and Bonus Marks Verification for Delhi Home Guard Vacancy 2025
B.2(b) Verification of Documents and Bonus Marks: A designated committee will conduct a comprehensive review and validation of the original documents to ensure compliance with eligibility requirements, reservation claims, and bonus marks.
i. Any applicant found to have submitted false information regarding reservations, bonus marks, or any other deceptive details in the application form, or who fails to provide the required documentation, will have their application disqualified.
ii. Candidates applying for reservation under SC/ST/OBC categories must present a caste certificate in the required format issued by the relevant authority. This certificate must clearly indicate the candidate’s caste, the legal Act/Order recognizing the caste as SC/ST/OBC, and the village or town of the candidate’s usual residence.
iii. Those seeking OBC reservation must provide a declaration in the designated format affirming that they do not belong to the creamy layer, along with the community certificate (OBC).
iv. A valid residency certificate for the National Capital Territory of Delhi must be submitted; failure to do so will lead to the disqualification of the candidate.
v. The final merit list for admission will be established based on the total marks obtained in the written examination, in conjunction with the verified bonus marks.
Note: The ultimate selection of candidates for the available positions will rely on the merit list generated from the written examination and verified bonus marks, applicable solely to those candidates who have successfully completed both assessment stages.
Delhi Home Guard – Declaration of Result 2025
Following the receipt of the final results, which encompass the scores from the written examination along with any additional bonus points, the Selection Board will hold a meeting to create the merit list of candidates. This process will adhere to the inter-se ranking criteria specified in paragraph 3 for candidates who have obtained identical scores.
Once the merit list is finalized, it will be forwarded to the DGHG for approval. Thereafter, the selection list for the enrollment of Home Guard volunteers will be published on the website and posted on the notice board at the Directorate’s Headquarters.
