Maharashtra Polytechnic 2025-26: Admission Guidelines
- Should candidates fail to validate their online application form using the selected method, either E-Scrutiny Mode or Physical Scrutiny Mode, their applications will be deemed disqualified, resulting in their names being removed from the merit lists created for both the CAP and Non-CAP admission processes.
- All individuals from the Backward Class categories, which include VJ/DT-NT(A), NT(B), NT(C), NT(D), OBC, SBC, and SEBC, must submit a Non Creamy Layer certificate that is valid until March 31, 2026, regardless of their selection of EScrutiny Mode or Physical Scrutiny Mode. Those who do not submit the Non Creamy Layer certificate will be categorized as GENERAL candidates and will lose their right to claim Reserved seats in the admission process.
- Candidates belonging to the Economically Weaker Section (EWS) are required to submit a valid Eligibility Certificate (see Pro forma – V) for the Economically Weaker Section, which remains valid until March 31, 2026, or for the academic year 2025-26, depending on their selection of E-Scrutiny Mode or Physical Scrutiny Mode. If the Eligibility Certificate is not provided, these candidates will be categorized as GENERAL category candidates, thus disqualifying them from accessing Reserved seats during the admission process. Additionally, any EWS certificate issued under the Central Government’s EWS reservations policy (Central List) will not be recognized.
- In both E-Scrutiny Mode and Physical Scrutiny Mode, candidates must provide the relevant and valid documentation to substantiate the assertions made in their application forms. If the required documents are not submitted, the claims will be deemed invalid, and the applications of those candidates will be processed without considering those claims.
- Individuals who have registered under a reserved category but do not present the required certificate to validate their reservation claim during the document verification process, whether performed through E-Scrutiny or Physical Scrutiny, will be categorized as GENERAL category candidates and will be obligated to pay an additional fee of 100/- solely through online payment methods.
- Candidates opting for the Physical Scrutiny Mode are required to provide all essential original documents for review at the FC.
- The upcoming schedule for the completion and verification of the Option Form for CAP Rounds, CAP Allotment, seat acceptance, candidate reporting to institutions, Institute Level admissions, and the admission cut-off date will be disclosed after the publication of the Final Merit List and will be accessible on the website: https://poly25.dtemaharashtra.gov.in/
Maharashtra Diploma 2025: Selection Process
Approval of the Merit List and Admitted Candidates: After the admission process is completed, each institution must present a proposal for admission approval to the Competent Authority. This proposal should include a detailed list of all candidates who have been accepted, specifying their quota, type of candidature, reservation status, qualification marks, and any other pertinent information, along with the required documentation for each admitted candidate at the institutional level.
If an unaided minority institution fails to admit at least fifty-one percent of its sanctioned intake from individuals belonging to the relevant minority group for three consecutive years, the Competent Authority will inform the Department. The Department will subsequently communicate these instances, along with its observations, to the Minorities Development Department as stipulated in section 12C of the National Commission for Minority Educational Institutions Act 2004.
Maharashtra Diploma 2025: Institutional Quota Guide
- All applicants aiming for admission through CAP seats are required to register, undergo document verification, and validate their application form either through E-Scrutiny Mode or Physical Scrutiny Mode. Only those registered candidates who meet the eligibility criteria will be taken into account for CAP Merit and subsequent admission through CAP.
- Individuals applying for admission under the Institutional Quota for seats that are unoccupied following the Centralized Admission Process (CAP) must complete the registration process, undergo document verification, and validate their application via either E-Scrutiny or Physical Scrutiny. Additionally, these individuals are required to submit distinct applications to the relevant Institutes for admission consideration. The merit list for these applicants will be generated at the institute level.
