Written Test for Meghalaya Home Guard 2025

The written examination for the positions listed below will take place at the Shillong and Tura Centers according to the schedule provided:

Meghalaya Home Guard Vacancy 2025 | Terms of Requisition

  • A fee of Rs. 1,000 (Rupees one thousand) is applicable for the initial hour or any portion thereof.
  • For each additional hour or any part thereof, a charge of Rs. 700 (Rupees seven hundred) will be incurred.
  • If the road journey from Mawdiangdiang Home Guards Complex exceeds one hour in duration, the requesting party will be billed at a rate of Rs. 350 for each hour or part thereof.
  • A total fee of Rs. 5,000 (Rupees five thousand) is required for marriage and other private events, covering a duration of four hours or any portion thereof.
  • The Band will cease performance at 10 P.M.
  • The requesting party is required to make the full payment in cash or by cheque, with the crossed cheque payable to the Home Guards Band fund.
  • The requisitioning party is responsible for providing transportation and refreshments for the Band.
  • The serving of alcohol to the band members is strictly prohibited.

Objectives of Meghalaya Home Guards 2025

To save life: Act as a support to law enforcement and aid in upholding internal security.
To minimize damage to property: Support the community during various emergencies, including air raids, fires, floods, epidemics, and similar situations.
To maintain continuity of production: Arrange functional units to deliver critical services, including motor transportation, pioneer and engineering teams, fire brigades, nursing and first aid, as well as the management of water and power supply in facilities, among others.
To keep up the high morale of public: Encourage collective support to safeguard the vulnerable members of society, fostering harmony and providing leadership in various community sectors.

Meghalaya Home Guards Training 2025

  • Implement fundamental Civil Defence and Disaster Response Training.
  • Facilitate Disaster Management Training at the village, block, district, and urban levels in partnership with the Deputy Commissioner of each district.
  • Organize diverse disaster management training sessions for NGOs and professionals, including doctors, engineers, and teachers, in collaboration with MATI.
  • Provide various in-service training programs focused on disaster response for the officers and staff of this department at the Central Training Institute in Shillong.
  • Assign officers and personnel from this department to participate in various Disaster Management training courses outside the state.
  • Offer training programs on Search and Rescue and Emergency First Aid for NCC, NYK, Scouts & Guides, among others.
