RRB Group D Recruitment 2025: Application Form
The RRB Group D application status will soon be made available by the RRBs. Candidates may verify the status of their application form by logging in with the necessary credentials. The application status indicates whether the candidates’ application forms have been accepted or rejected.
The RRB Group D application form for 2025 was released on January 23, 2025. The application fee is set at INR 500 for all candidates, except those in fee concession categories. For candidates who are PwBD, female, transgender, ex-servicemen, or belong to SC/ST/minority communities or economically backward classes, the fee is INR 250. Candidates have the option to pay the fee online. The application fee will be refunded after candidates participate in the CBT. Candidates from unreserved categories receive a partial refund of their application fees, while those from reserved categories are eligible for a full refund.
The link to check the application status will be activated once the application process concludes. To verify the application status, candidates must input their registration number, date of birth, and security code.

Guidelines for Applying to RRB Group D Recruitment 2025
Step 1: Visit the official website – www.rrbcdg.gov.in
Step 2: Click on the ‘New Registration’ link
Step 3: Complete the registration for the exam by providing information such as your name, date of birth, father’s name, mother’s name, Aadhaar Number, SSLC/Matric registration number, year of passing, mobile number, email ID, and then submit the registration form.
Step 4: After registration, a registration number and password will be generated.
Step 5: In Part I of the application page, enter details regarding your educational qualifications, community, gender, religion, Ex-Servicemen status, CCAA, Minority status, Economically Backward Class, Age Relaxation, and any other relevant information.
Step 6: In Part II of the application page, specify your priority or preference for the RRB Group D posts.
Step 7: Pay the application fees using Net Banking, Credit Card, Debit Card, UPI, or Offline Challan.
Step 8: Select the exam languages from the following options: Hindi, English, Urdu, Assamese, Bengali, Gujarati, Kannada, Konkani, Malayalam, Manipuri, Marathi, Odia, Punjabi, Tamil, and Telugu.
Step 9: Provide details of your photo ID card.
Step 10: Enter your bank details for a fee refund.
Step 11: Upload scanned images of your photograph, signature, and category certificate if you are a SC/ST candidate.

RRB Group D Recruitment Level-1 Fee 2025

Eligibility Criteria for RRB Group D 2025
The RRBs have updated the eligibility criteria for RRB Group D for candidates intending to apply for the examination in the future. The minimum educational qualification required for individuals applying to the RRB Group D exam is the completion of 10th grade, ITI, or an equivalent qualification, or a National Apprenticeship Certificate (NAC) issued by NCVT. Below, candidates can find the eligibility criteria for Level-1 posts in RRB Group D.
A candidate is required to fall into one of the following categories:
- A citizen of India, or
- A subject of Nepal, or
- A subject of Bhutan, or
- A Tibetan refugee who arrived in India before January 1, 1962, with the intention of permanently settling in the country, or
- A person of Indian descent who has migrated from Pakistan, Burma, Sri Lanka, or East African nations such as Kenya, Uganda, the United Republic of Tanzania, Zambia, Malawi, Zaire, Ethiopia, and Vietnam, with the intention of permanently residing in India.
RRB Group D Examination Structure 2025
The structure of the exam is segmented into CBT, Document Verification, and Medical examination. The CBT component of the RRB Group D exam pattern includes questions from General Science, Mathematics, General Intelligence and Reasoning, as well as General Awareness and Current Affairs. Candidates are allotted 90 minutes to complete the question paper. A penalty of 1/3 marks is imposed for incorrect answers.
Those who pass the CBT are invited to participate in the PET/PST. Although this stage is qualifying, it is essential for candidates to successfully complete it. Candidates who pass the PET/PST will then proceed to Document Verification and the Medical examination. The final selection is contingent upon the results of the CBT, provided that candidates have also qualified the PET/PST, Document Verification, and Medical Exam. Standardization of Grades
The scores for RRB Group D are determined through a normalization process. Given that the examination is held across several shifts, candidates’ scores are adjusted using a percentile-based calculation method. The results are declared according to the scores derived from this percentile-based calculation.

The age restriction set for Level 1 positions is between 18 and 36 years. Age limit relaxation is granted in accordance with government regulations.

RRB Group D Eligibility 2025
Applicants seeking positions in the technical departments are required to have completed Class 10 (High School) and possess a National Apprenticeship Certificate (NAC) issued by the National Council for Vocational Training. Additionally, candidates who have successfully completed Class 10 and hold an ITI qualification are also qualified to take the exam.
RRB Group D Recruitment Procedure 2025
The selection procedure for different Group D positions will encompass the following phases-
- Computer-Based Test- The CBT will evaluate your understanding in several subjects, including Mathematics, General Intelligence & Reasoning, and General Awareness.
- Physical Efficiency Test- The PET aims to measure your physical fitness and consists of assessments such as running, long jump, and high jump.
